Beliefs & Values

Mi'djam, meaning “Woman” in the Kabbi Kabbi language of the Sunshine Coast, acknowledges the Ancestors of the many Countries in which we reside.

Mi'djam Woman is deeply committed to nurturing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in early childhood education through culturally sensitive knowledge sharing. This approach cultivates adaptive thinking, empowerment, and reconciliation by passing on wisdom and paving the way for a holistic approach to learning and growth.

Emphasising the importance of building healthy relationships based on mutual respect and reciprocity, Mi'djam Woman regards children as educators, beneficiaries, and future guardians, underscoring the significance of collaboration in the journey.
